Brooklyn House is our new Short break Service available to young Adults with learning disabilities who would like a short break away from home, whether this is for one night or a few nights you can be assured of a warm welcome in a comfortable, clean, modern and safe environment.
The house is a Town house based in the south side of the city at Frecheville in a residential area. It is in close proximity to the public transport links as well as Crystal Peaks. Our house accommodates up to two young adults at any one time. The bedrooms are double rooms and staffing is always on a one to one basis. There are steps to the property at the front and to get to the bedrooms as the house is on 2 levels.
During your stay here you will have complete choice in how you spend your time here in every aspect of your stay, from the meals that you would like to have along with the activities you would like to do during your stay, whether you fancy a film and popcorn night in or heading out to have fun. We can also focus on independent living skills during your stay or any other goals that you would like to achieve.
We appreciate how important this time away can be and the benefits it brings to the family as a whole as well as to individuals so we always strive to ensure a positive experience is achieved. Each stay will be planned on an individual basis of how you would like your care to be and what you would like to do during your stay.
All of our support Workers are fully trained and a support worker will be dedicated to you during your stay to ensure you achieve what you set out to and that you enjoy your time here whilst keeping you safe.
Our Registered Manager is always on hand in addition to the team of Support Workers.
